To share your Wi-Fi password on an iPhone with another nearby Apple device, follow these steps:
- Make sure both devices (the one sharing the password and the one receiving it) are running the latest iOS version, have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on, and are not using Personal Hotspot.
- Ensure both devices are signed into iCloud with their Apple IDs, and that each has the other's Apple ID email address saved in their Contacts.
- The iPhone sharing the password must be unlocked and connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- On the other device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select the Wi-Fi network you want to join.
- A prompt will appear on the iPhone sharing the password asking if you want to share it. Tap "Share Password," then tap "Done."
- The receiving device will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network without needing to enter the password manually.
Additional notes:
- Devices must be within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range.
- Both devices need to have each other in Contacts for this to work.
- You can also share the password by showing a QR code for the network, which others can scan to join.
This method works on iPhones running iOS 11 or later and is compatible with other Apple devices like iPads and Macs
