To slow down a video on an iPhone Camera Roll, the built-in Photos app allows it only for videos originally shot in the Slo-Mo mode. Here's how to do it using the Photos app:
- Open the Photos app and find your slow-motion video.
- Tap Edit in the top right corner.
- Drag the vertical handles on the video timeline to adjust the slow-motion section, effectively controlling how slow the video plays.
- Tap Done to save the changes.
If the video was not recorded in Slo-Mo mode, the Photos app won’t allow adding a slow-motion effect directly. Instead, you can use Apple's iMovie app or third-party apps like YouCam Video to slow down any video:
- In iMovie, you create a new project, import the video, tap the clip in the timeline, then use the Speed slider to slow it down.
- In apps like YouCam Video, import the video, use the speed adjustment tool to slow it down, and save the edited video.
These tools give you more flexible control over video speed than Photos alone, especially for regular videos not originally recorded in slow motion.
