To take a screenshot on a laptop, the method depends on whether it is a Windows laptop or a MacBook. For Windows laptops:
- Press the "Print Screen" (PrtSc) key to capture the entire screen to your clipboard. You then paste it into an image editor like Paint using Ctrl+V and save it.
- Press "Alt + PrtSc" to capture only the active window to your clipboard, then paste and save.
- Press "Windows key + PrtSc" to capture the entire screen and automatically save the screenshot in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.
- Press "Windows key + Shift + S" to open the Snip & Sketch tool to capture a rectangular, freeform, window, or full-screen screenshot. The image is copied to the clipboard with edit options.
For MacBooks:
