To turn off the active status on Instagram (which hides your "Active Now" status):
- Open the Instagram app.
- Tap your profile icon in the bottom right corner.
- Tap the three lines menu icon at the top right.
- Go to Settings.
- In Settings, use the search box to find "Show activity status" or navigate to "Messages and Story Replies" under "How others can interact with you."
- Tap "Show activity status."
- Toggle off the "Show activity status" option.
By turning this off, others won’t be able to see when you are active or were last active on Instagram. However, keep in mind that if you turn off your activity status, you also won’t be able to see the activity status of other accounts. This setting applies universally to all users, not just specific ones. This action updates immediately, and your active status will no longer be visible to your followers or contacts.
