To turn off Safe Search on Google, follow these steps depending on your device: On a computer (Windows/Mac):
- Go to Google.com in your browser.
- Click on "Settings" at the bottom-right corner of the Google homepage.
- Select "Search settings" from the menu.
- Find the "SafeSearch filters" section and uncheck the box next to "Turn on SafeSearch."
- Scroll down and click "Save" to apply the changes.
On an iPhone or iPad:
- Using the Google app: Open the app, tap your profile picture > Settings > SafeSearch, then select "Off."
- Using a browser: Go to Google.com, tap "Settings" > "Search settings," under "Content" select SafeSearch, choose "Off," then save.
On an Android device:
- Using the Google app: Open the app, tap your profile picture > Settings > SafeSearch, then select "Off."
- Using a browser: Go to Google.com, tap "Settings" > "Search settings," under "Content" select SafeSearch, choose "Off," then save.
- Or through device settings: Go to Settings > Google > All Services > Search, Assistant & Voice > Privacy & Safety > SafeSearch, then turn it off.
Note: These changes apply to your Google account across devices where you're signed in; if not signed in, only the current session is affected. Also, if SafeSearch is locked by a network administrator or parental control, you may not be able to disable it.
