To turn off Voice Control on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Depending on your iPhone model:
- For iPhone X or later, tap Side Button.
- For iPhone 8 or earlier, tap Home Button.
- Under Press and Hold to Speak , select Off to disable Voice Control. This stops Voice Control from activating when you press and hold the Side or Home button
Alternatively, if Voice Control is enabled as an accessibility feature:
- Go to Settings > Accessibility.
- Tap Voice Control.
- Toggle Voice Control off
If you want to disable Siri activation via the button as well, go to Settings > Siri & Search and turn off options like "Press Side Button for Siri" or "Press Home for Siri"
. This will effectively turn off Voice Control and prevent it from activating accidentally on your device.
