how to turn on airdrop

To turn on AirDrop on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Control Center:
   • On iPhone X or later and recent iPads: Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen.
   • On iPhone 8 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
2. Press and hold the network settings box (with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth icons).
3. Tap the AirDrop icon.
4. Choose who can send you files by selecting one of the options:
   • Contacts Only (only people in your contacts can see your device)
   • Everyone (anyone nearby can see your device for 10 minutes)

Alternatively, you can:

• Go to Settings > General > AirDrop and select either Receiving Off, Contacts Only, or Everyone.

Turning on AirDrop automatically turns on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can turn it off anytime by setting AirDrop to "Receiving Off" in the same menu.
