To turn on the flashlight in Starfield:
- On PC, hold down the F key. Simply pressing F activates the hand scanner, but holding it turns the flashlight on or off.
- On Xbox controllers, hold down the Left Bumper (LB) button to toggle the flashlight.
Note that the flashlight is integrated into your space helmet as a mod and is not a separate item to equip. Also, the flashlight may not be available in all areas of the game
. If you want to change the keybinding for the flashlight, you can do so in the game settings under Bindings by selecting "Hand Scanner/Flashlight" and assigning a different key or button
