To unblock someone on Instagram, you can use either of these two main methods:
1. Unblock via Your Blocked Accounts List
- Open the Instagram app and go to your profile by tapping the profile icon at the bottom right.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) at the top right, then select Settings and privacy.
- Scroll down to the Who can see your content section and tap Blocked accounts.
- You will see a list of accounts you have blocked. Find the person you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock next to their name and confirm by tapping Unblock again in the popup.
This method is useful if you want to manage multiple blocked accounts at once
2. Unblock via Their Profile
- Open Instagram and use the search icon (magnifying glass) to find the exact username of the person you want to unblock.
- Go to their profile page.
- Tap the Unblock button on their profile.
- Confirm by tapping Unblock again.
This method ensures you unblock the correct person and allows you to follow them immediately if you choose
Additional Notes
- If you blocked someone by mistake or want to end a temporary block, unblocking restores their ability to see your posts and send you messages.
- Instagram does not notify users when you unblock them.
- You can also unblock someone on Instagram via the desktop website by searching their username, opening their profile, and clicking Unblock
These steps work similarly on both mobile apps (iOS and Android) and the web version of Instagram
