To use Apple Pay on your iPhone, follow these steps:
Setting Up Apple Pay
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the plus (+) button in the upper-right corner.
- Select "Credit or Debit Card."
- Use your iPhone’s camera to scan your card or enter the card details manually.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your card with your bank or card issuer.
- After verification, your card will be added to Apple Wallet and ready for use
Making Payments with Apple Pay
In Stores (Contactless Payments)
- For iPhones with Face ID: Double-click the side button, authenticate with Face ID or your passcode, then hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless payment reader until you see "Done" and a checkmark on the screen.
- For iPhones with Touch ID: Rest your finger on Touch ID, then hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader until the transaction completes
Using a Different Card
- When your default card appears, tap it to select another card.
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
- Hold the iPhone near the reader to complete payment
Online or In Apps
- When checking out online or in apps, select Apple Pay as your payment method.
- Confirm billing, shipping, and contact information if prompted.
- Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to complete the purchase
Additional Tips
- You can add multiple cards and switch between them.
- Apple Pay works where you see contactless payment symbols or the Apple Pay logo.
- You can also add and use rewards or loyalty cards in the Wallet app to redeem points automatically during payment
