To vote for your favorite contestant on American Idol, you have three main options:
- Online at AmericanIdol.com/Vote
- Visit the website and register for a free account (must be 16 or older and located in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands).
- Sign in, select your favorite contestant, assign up to 10 votes per contestant, and save your votes
- Using the American Idol App
- Download the official app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Create an account and sign in.
- Go to the "Go to Vote Now" section, select your contestant, assign up to 10 votes, and save your choices
- By Text Message
- Text the contestant’s voting number (displayed during the show) to 21523.
- You can vote up to 10 times per contestant via text
Additional details:
- Voting opens during the East Coast broadcast (around 8 p.m. ET) and closes the next morning (around 6 a.m. ET).
- You can vote up to 10 times per contestant per method, allowing a maximum of 30 votes per contestant across all three methods combined
- Message and data rates may apply for text voting
