To listen to radio on DStv, use the audio/radio channels on your decoder or stream through the DStv app or web service if your package supports it.
On the decoder
- Press the TV/Shift function on the remote, then go to the audio and radio section.
- Radio channels are grouped around the 800 range on DStv, while music channels are around 750.
- On newer HD decoders or the Explorer, you can type the channel number directly.
On the app or web
- Open the DStv app on your phone or tablet, or sign in on a laptop or desktop browser.
- Make sure your subscription is active and you have internet access, since streaming requires data or Wi‑Fi.
- Available content can vary by package and region.
Useful note
- DStv has changed audio and radio channel numbering over time, so the easiest approach is to check the 800s if you are using the decoder.
- If you are using DStv Stream, the app focuses on live TV and on-demand content rather than a separate “radio” menu, so the decoder route is usually the clearest way to access traditional DStv radio channels.
| Method | How to access | Needs internet |
