The Commonwealth Bank app experienced a nationwide outage affecting online banking services, the mobile app, and ATMs across Australia on October 1, 2025. The issue lasted for about an hour before services started being restored, and by 2:30 pm AEST on October 2, 2025, all services including payments, online access, and ATMs were reported to be working normally again. The bank apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
Currently, the CommBank app is not down and services have been restored.
