Natasia Demetriou is a British actress, comedian, and screenwriter, best known for her role as Nadja in the FX comedy horror series "What We Do in the Shadows" (2019–2024) and as Sophie in the Channel 4 sitcom "Stath Lets Flats" (2018–2021).
She was born on January 15, 1984, in London to an English mother and a Greek- Cypriot father and raised in North London. Natasia studied acting at the University of Leeds and initially worked as a makeup artist before becoming a professional comedian. She has collaborated frequently with her younger brother, Jamie Demetriou, also a comedian and actor.
Her career includes a debut show that won the Skinny Debutant Award at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, writing for comedy shows such as "Anna & Katy," and appearing in TV roles starting in 2013. She co-wrote and starred in the BBC sketch show "Ellie & Natasia" along with Ellie White. Her notable work in "What We Do in the Shadows" features her as a Greek Romani vampire living in modern-day New York City.
In addition to acting, she co-hosted Netflix's reality competition show "The Big Flower Fight" and appeared in the second series of "This Time with Alan Partridge".
