Niagara Falls is located on the border between two countries: the United States and Canada. The falls span the Niagara River, which serves as a natural border between the state of New York in the USA and the province of Ontario in Canada. Part of the falls is on the American side, including the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, while the larger Horseshoe Falls is mainly on the Canadian side but also partially in the USA. Thus, Niagara Falls is shared between both the United States and Canada.
