Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actress born on April 14, 1977. She gained international recognition for her role as Buffy Summers in the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997–2003). She started acting as a child and had her breakthrough on the soap opera "All My Children" (1993–1995), for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award. Gellar also starred in notable films such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997), "Scream 2" (1997), and "Cruel Intentions" (1999). She has continued her career in television and film, and co-founded a baking company called Foodstirs. Sarah Michelle Gellar is married to Freddie Prinze Jr. and they have two children.
