The Siamese cat is one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Asian cats, originating from Thailand (formerly Siam). It is known for its striking appearance, with blue almond-shaped eyes, a triangular head shape, large ears, and an elongated, slender, muscular body. The breed has a distinctive colorpoint coat pattern, which is due to a temperature-sensitive type of albinism causing darker colors on the cooler parts of the body like the ears, face, paws, and tail. Siamese cats are highly intelligent, vocal, affectionate, and form strong bonds with their human companions. They require daily enrichment and interactive play due to their playful and curious nature. Traditionally, the Siamese breed includes several types such as the apple- headed, classic, and old-style Siamese, with variations in body shape and facial features.
