Skip Schumaker, full name Jared Michael Schumaker, is a former professional baseball outfielder and second baseman who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for teams including the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Cincinnati Reds. After his playing career, he transitioned to managerial and advisory roles. He managed the Miami Marlins from 2023 to 2024 and currently serves as a senior advisor for the Texas Rangers. Additionally, he has taken on bench coach duties for the 2026 World Baseball Classic team. He was known for being a capable leadoff hitter and a strong defensive outfielder during his playing days.
