The Soladey toothbrush is an ionic toothbrush that uses light energy and your saliva to eject plaque and bacteria from otherwise difficult places to reach, by breaking the electrostatic bond of the surface of a tooth. It has a light-activated titanium rod (semiconductor) inside the handle and a solar panel at the end of the handle. When exposed to any light source (a fluorescent bathroom light, a plain light bulb, or sunlight), the photo-sensitive titanium rod inside the Soladey toothbrush converts light into negatively-charged ions (electrons). The stream of electrons is enhanced by the solar panel. The Soladey toothbrush is battery-free and uses the inbuilt solar panel to generate energy.

The Soladey toothbrush has been clinically proven to remove plaque much better than regular toothbrushes. It has a much better plaque buildup reduction rate and can control and reduce the bacteria responsible for plaque. The toothbrush has honeycomb bristles, medium texture, containing charcoal and silver. Each bristle has a hexagon profile, giving extra cleaning power. The rows of bristles have a raised notch of bristles part way along the brush head which are great for cleaning along the indentations of the molars. The charcoal and silver ions help the brush heads to stay more hygienic between use.

The Soladey toothbrush is made of a patented solar conducting material that allows light, by photoelectric activity, to be converted into a natural energy source which kills the bacteria responsible for plaque. The toothbrush does not require toothpaste to work effectively.
