However, the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed around 2028, is planned to surpass the Burj Khalifa by reaching at least 1,001 meters (1 kilometer) in height, making it the first one-kilometer-tall building in the world. The Jeddah Tower's final height will be at least 173 meters taller than the Burj Khalifa.
