Before his NFL career, Tom Brady was a college quarterback at the University of Michigan where he played for the Michigan Wolverines. He was not highly touted coming out of college, with a mediocre NFL Scouting Combine performance and was selected very late in the NFL draft (6th round, 199th overall pick) by the New England Patriots in 2000. His early career was modest, starting off as a backup quarterback behind Drew Bledsoe. After starting in the NFL, Brady's career dramatically changed when he became the Patriots' starter during the 2001 season due to an injury to Bledsoe. He led the Patriots to multiple Super Bowl titles, becoming widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history. After 20 seasons with the Patriots, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three seasons and won another Super Bowl, extending his record to seven Super Bowl wins. Since retiring, Brady has become a broadcaster for Fox and a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, marking a shift from player to media and business roles in the NFL world.
