Positive effects:
- Tretinoin cream can decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote quick healing of pimples that do develop.
- It can help improve the appearance of surface wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots.
Negative effects:
- Tretinoin cream can cause skin irritation, redness, dryness, and peeling.
- It may cause allergic reactions or other problems in people who are allergic to it or to vitamin A-related drugs.
- It may speed the development of skin tumors and lesions on sun-exposed skin.
