Product Details:

Trimovate cream is a yellow water-miscible cream that contains three active substances: clobetasone butyrate, oxytetracycline, and nystatin. It is only available on prescription in the UK. The cream is used to treat moist areas of inflamed skin where bacterial or Candidal infection is already present or suspected, or is likely to occur, such as nappy rash, seborrhoeic dermatitis, or inflamed areas where skin surfaces are in contact, for example, between the thighs or between the buttocks.

Positive:

Trimovate cream is effective in treating skin conditions that involve inflammation and bacterial or Candidal infection.

Negative:

Trimovate cream may cause photosensitivity reactions in hypersensitive persons, and such patients should be warned to avoid direct exposure to natural or artificial sunlight and to discontinue therapy at the first sign of skin discomfort. The cream contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis), and chlorocresol, which may cause allergic reactions.
