"A Wonderful World" is a new musical about jazz legend and American icon Louis Armstrong, which is currently playing at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. The musical is told from the perspective of the women in Armstrongs life and charts his journey from the birth of jazz in his native New Orleans through his international stardom, featuring beloved songs recorded and made popular by him, including "When the Saints Go Marching In," "When Youre Smiling," "I Cant Give You Anything But Love," and more. The show was conceived by Drama Desk Award winner and Tony Award nominee, Christopher Renshaw, and novelist Andrew Delaplaine, and has an original book by author Aurin Squire. The musical features songs recorded and made popular by Armstrong and stars Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart.
