As of September 22, 2023, the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, which make up Indias Chandrayaan-3 moon mission, have been in sleep mode for two weeks to survive the lunar night. The spacecraft is currently in a 41603 km x 226 km orbit around the Moon. ISRO is preparing to attempt to contact the solar-powered Vikram lander and Pragyan rover as the Moon rises. However, as of September 22, 2023, ISRO has not received any signals from the lander and rover. The rover and lander have completed their primary mission goals and were placed into sleep mode ahead of the upcoming lunar night. The expected lifetime of the Chandrayaan-3 mission is one lunar day, or about two Earth weeks.
