Pompompurin is a character introduced by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1996. He is a golden retriever dog character who wears a brown beret and has a laidback demeanor. He loves milk, anything soft, and his mamas cream caramel puddings. He has a talent for napping and doing purin aerobics, and can make friends with anyone. His friends include a hamster called Muffin, a mouse named Scone, a squirrel named Bagel, and a bird named Custard. Sanrio produced two OVAs with Pompompurin in 2001, Pomupomupurin no Usagi to Kame and Pomupomupurin no Kitakaze to Taiyō. Two Pompompurin video games were released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016.
