In math, edges are lines that connect the vertices on two-dimensional shapes and the lines that connect the faces of a three-dimensional shape. They are line segments that join one vertex to another and are also where the shapes faces meet. For a polygon, an edge is a line segment on the boundary joining one vertex (corner point) to another. For a polyhedron, an edge is a line segment where two faces meet. Edges are one of the three properties that define any three-dimensional solid, along with vertices and faces.
