Siri Suggestions is a feature on iPhones that suggests what you might want to do next based on your device usage, including how often you use apps and at what time of day. Its suggestions are determined by how you use your device, including the apps utilized. Here are some examples of how Siri Suggestions works:
- Glance at the Lock Screen or start a search: Siri learns your patterns and suggests things for just what youre looking for, at precisely the correct moment.
- Create email and events: When you begin adding individuals to an email or calendar event, Siri suggests people you have already added in emails or events.
- Receive calls: If you receive an incoming call from an unknown number, Siri will tell you who is calling based on the phone numbers in your emails.
- Type: As you type, Siri will suggest words and phrases based on what you were just reading or things you’ve looked at on your iPhone or iPad recently.
- Look at the lock screen: Siri may recommend an app you might want to use next based on your usage patterns.
You can turn off Siri Suggestions on your iPhone in the Siri & Search section of the Settings app. You can also customize how Siri suggestions work for certain apps. Additionally, you can add a Siri Suggestions widget to the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPod touch that dynamically suggests apps or shortcuts you may want to use next based on your usage patterns.
