Here is the list of the Ten Commandments as recorded in Exodus 20:2-17:
- You shall have no other gods before me.
- You shall not make for yourself an idol or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
- You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
- Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
- Honor your father and your mother.
- You shall not murder.
- You shall not commit adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
- You shall not covet your neighbors house, wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.
These commandments were given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai and are considered foundational principles for living in harmony with God and with other human beings.
