what are the causes of global warming

Global warming is primarily caused by human activities that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), trap heat and cause the planet to get hotter by absorbing sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth’s surface. The burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes are the main human activities that contribute to the increase in greenhouse gases. Additionally, natural processes, such as changes in the suns energy and volcanic eruptions, also affect the earths climate, but they do not explain the observed warming over the last century. The main driver of climate change is the greenhouse effect, with CO2 produced by human activities being the largest contributor to global warming. Reducing emissions of greenhouse gases is crucial to slowing down global warming and mitigating its effects.
