The operating hours of NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Since December 2019, NEFT services have been available round the clock, including weekends and bank holidays, allowing users to initiate transactions at any time. However, for in-branch NEFT services, typical working hours are from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to around 6:45 PM on Saturdays, with some branch services closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays. Online NEFT transactions, however, can be performed anytime without restrictions. NEFT transactions are processed in half-hourly batches throughout the day, and there is generally no limit on transaction amount during regular working hours (7 AM to 7 PM), while outside these hours, a limit of up to ₹1 crore per transaction applies.
