NFL PREM1ERE Patch: This patch was launched in 2023 to recognize and celebrate each rookies first game in the NFL. All rookie players on a 53-man roster to start the 2023 NFL season will wear an exclusive NFL PREM1ERE patch on their jersey during Week 1. Subsequently, any rookies making their NFL debut over the course of the season will wear the same patch during their first game.

Captains Patch: If a player has been designated captain, he will wear a "C" patch. The number of stars under the C signifies the number of years a player has been a captain. The NFL formalized a policy in 2007 for each team to have a maximum number of captains in each game, which resulted in patches being worn on the jersey. Prior to this change, some teams would just put a C on a captains jersey. Some teams, like the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots, have elected not to wear the captains patches. It can be changed at any time if the players and coaches decide to add or remove the patch.
