The vulva is the external part of the female genitalia, comprising visible structures that protect the internal reproductive organs and play roles in reproduction and sexual health. It includes the mons pubis (the fatty mound above the pubic bone), the outer folds called labia majora, the inner folds called labia minora, the clitoris, the openings of the urethra and vagina, and associated glands. These structures provide protection, sensation, and support functions in urination, menstruation, childbirth, and sexual pleasure.
