Hurricane Idalia is currently no longer a hurricane. It made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds around 115-125 mph but weakened rapidly after landfall. By later on the same day, it had weakened to a Category 1 hurricane and then further downgraded to a tropical storm as it moved inland through Georgia and the Carolinas
. So, as of the latest updates, Hurricane Idalia is classified as a tropical storm, having lost its hurricane strength after landfall and moving inland.
