Charles Barkley played college basketball at Auburn University for three seasons. He was an all-conference selection in each of his three seasons at Auburn, and in 1984 he was chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers with the fifth overall pick of the NBA draft. Barkley averaged 14.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game for the Auburn Tigers and was named 1984 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. However, Barkley did not graduate from Auburn University.
