The Dark Knight Rises is the last movie in Christopher Nolans Batman trilogy. It was released in 2012 and concludes the story of Bruce Wayne/Batman, played by Christian Bale, as he faces off against the villain Bane. Despite the success of the trilogy, a fourth film in the franchise was never made.
