The referendum will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023. On this day, Australians will vote on whether or not a change should be made to the Australian Constitution to recognize the First Peoples of Australia by creating an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. Polling places will be open around Australia between 8am and 6pm, local time, on voting day. Early voting centers will be open in the two weeks prior to referendum day. Postal vote applications close at 6 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
