Lisa Marie Presley died of a small bowel obstruction, a condition caused by adhesions (scar tissue) that developed as a long-term complication from bariatric (weight-loss) surgery she had undergone several years earlier. This intestinal blockage led to cardiac arrest at her home, and she passed away later at a hospital in California at age 54. The manner of death was ruled natural, and opioids found in her system were not a contributing factor.
