Christians believe that God created the universe out of love for humanity. There are two versions of the creation story in the book of Genesis. Genesis 1 is also known as the 7 Day creation story, where God created the universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Genesis 2 is the story of Adam and Eve, where God created humans first and placed them in a Garden. For Christians, it is not important how God created the universe, as they believe that it is beyond their own imagination and it doesn’t really matter.
Christians believe that death is not the end of our existence. They believe that everyone who lives will meet God, and there will be a ‘Day of Judgement’ when all humanity will come into God’s presence. Every person will have to give an explanation for all they thought, said, and did – the successes and the failures. Christians believe that everyone who lives will meet God, and there will be no more death or mourning. Christians believe that human consciousness doesnt cease when we die, and that there is life after death. The belief in life after death has shaped the Christian faith since Jesus Christ rose from the dead after his execution 2,000 years ago.
