- "Tzom kal" (pronounced tzohm kahl) is Hebrew for "have an easy fast".
- "G'mar tov" (pronounced gih-MAR tohv) means "a good final sealing".
- "Chag sameach" (pronounced khahg sah-MAY-akh) means "happy holiday" and can be used for other Jewish holidays, but not Yom Kippur.
- "Yom tov" (pronounced yohm tohv) means "good day" and can be used for other Jewish holidays, but not Yom Kippur.
It is also appropriate to acknowledge the holiday and share well wishes with your Jewish friends and colleagues who observe it.
