In the movie Monsters, Inc., Boo calls Sulley "Kitty". It is unclear why she calls him this, but some speculate that it is because Sulley is soft and furry like a cat, with a tail like a cat. It is also possible that Boo saw a cat once and, being at an age where a cat has fur, she generalized anything with fur as a cat.
