Bump is a feature in Facebook Messenger that allows users to bring back a previous or an older message back to recent chats. When you bump a message, it resurfaces at the top of the chat, among the most recent messages, and sends notifications to all people in the chat. Bumping a message in Messenger is a way to remind others of something you or they previously said and bring it back to their attention. You can bump a message to remind others on the chat of something you’ve previously sent, or to quickly mention and resend a message without replying or copy-pasting it. To bump a message in Messenger, you need to open the Messenger app on your Android or iPhone, open the chat where you want to bump a message, find the message by scrolling through the chat, tap and hold it, select More, and then tap on the Bump option. Note that bumping messages is not currently supported in end-to-end encrypted chats.
