Last night in Pigeon Forge, a large, chaotic gathering occurred in connection with the Slammedenuff car show held nearby. Crowds gathered late in the parking lot of Jimmy's Market gas station on the Parkway, with engines revving, tires spinning, music blasting, and people climbing on cars and roofs. The situation escalated to fights and property damage, prompting the business to close early and police involvement, including use of tasers to disperse the crowd. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Pigeon Forge Police, Sevierville and Gatlinburg Police Departments, and others, responded to the disturbance. Although no shots were fired and no tear gas was deployed, the event was declared unsafe for the community. Due to these disturbances and the strain on local resources, the city of Sevierville canceled the final day of the Slammedenuff car show and urged visitors to leave lawfully. The chaotic turnout reflected concerns police had warned about beforehand regarding unsanctioned gatherings linked to the car show, which were described as having bad intentions, public safety risks, and disruption to families and property.
