Andrew Flintoff, a former cricketer and Top Gear presenter, was involved in a serious car crash while filming for the BBC motoring show in December 2022. He was driving an open-topped three-wheel Morgan Super 3 car at high speed when it reportedly flipped and slid along the track, causing him to suffer facial injuries and several broken ribs. Flintoff was airlifted to the hospital and had to wait in agony for 45 minutes before receiving medical attention. He made his first public appearance since the accident in September 2023. It has been reported that Flintoff is quitting Top Gear due to the emotional and physical impact of the crash. The BBC has also announced that it will not continue filming the latest series of Top Gear following Flintoffs resignation from the show.
