Arkansas defensive back Kani Walker suffered a scary-looking injury during the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss game on September 13, 2025. He was stretchered off the field in the fourth quarter after apparently receiving an inadvertent knee to the back of his helmet. Medical staff tended to him on the field for several minutes, removed his helmet, and then took him off on a stretcher. He was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution but was reported to have movement in his limbs and was communicating by giving a thumbs-up as he left the field. This injury occurred early in the fourth quarter during a 35-yard completion by Ole Miss. Prior to the injury, Walker had been an important part of Arkansas' defense this season, having transferred from Oklahoma and making several tackles and pass breakups in 2025.
