After the events of Arlong Park, Arlong was captured and imprisoned in East Blue. However, following the death of his former captain, Fisher Tiger, Arlong was captured again and sent to Impel Down. He was later released from Impel Down thanks to Jinbe becoming a Shichibukai. According to, Arlong was captured and thrown into Impel Down after his defeat against Luffy, but he was able to be released thanks to Jinbei. During his time in captivity, he began to reflect on his actions and eventually had a redemption arc. Therefore, Arlong was imprisoned in East Blue and later in Impel Down, but he was eventually released.
