Bananarama is a British girl band that formed in September 1980 when childhood friends Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward moved from Bristol to London and met Siobhan Fahey. Fahey left the group in 1988 and was replaced by Jacquie OSullivan until 1991, when the trio became a duo. Bananarama is known for their mega-hits Venus, Robert De Niro’s Waiting and Love in the First Degree. The band fully reunited in 2017 and performed a sell-out tour all over the country, however their final dates as a trio were August 2018. In 2019, the duo Keren Woodward and Sara Dallin released a studio album called 'In Stereo'. Bananarama has released five albums from 1992 to 2009 as a duo. In 2022, Bananarama released a new album and discussed being "sidelined and disregarded" as women in the music industry.
