Caroline Watt is a former agent of Rebekah Vardy, who was expected to be a key figure in the WAGatha Christie trial but did not appear at the High Court. Her phone went over the side of a boat in 2021 while on a family holiday, ending up at the bottom of the North Sea, and this was expected to be a key piece of evidence at the trial. However, she withdrew her evidence pre-trial due to health concerns, and a psychiatrist ruled she was unfit to appear in court. Rooneys barrister David Sherborne described Watt dropping her mobile phone in the North Sea as "far from an accident" and "fishy". Watts current situation is unknown, but according to one of her clients, she has severely suffered from the coverage and fallout of the highly publicized legal case. She is reportedly in talks with three streaming TV giants about her version of events between the libel court case, and she has been offered up to £300,000 for an explosive one-off documentary.
