Len Goodman, a judge on Dancing with the Stars, passed away at the age of 78 in April 2023. His cause of death was prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Goodman was a professional dancer and won numerous awards before becoming a judge on the BBCs ballroom competition Strictly Come Dancing and the U.S. adaptation Dancing with the Stars on ABC. He retired from the ABC reality competition after Season 31, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family. Goodman was survived by his wife Sue Barrett and son James Goodman. The season 32 premiere of Dancing with the Stars honored Goodman with a tribute and renamed the shows ultimate prize the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
