Leni Fevola, daughter of Brendan Fevola, had to leave The Amazing Race Australia 2025 due to a severe illness. After landing in Sri Lanka for the seventh leg of the race, Leni became very sick with what was suspected to be a super aggressive strain of COVID-19 or the flu, which led to a high fever and delirium. Due to her illness, Brendan had to continue the race alone but eventually decided to withdraw to take Leni home for her health. After returning home, Leni suffered from a chest infection and had a burst appendix, confirming that withdrawing was the right decision. Despite the early exit, the experience brought Brendan and Leni closer together as they bonded throughout the competition.
